Positive Reaction from Across The Country to the IABT’s 2020 TRI-College Tour:
“We are excited about this new opportunity that Dr. Dorsey and the International Association of Black Triathletes, Inc. has developed for urban youth. The tour will serve as an incredible platform for introducing urban youth to opportunities to race at the collegiate level. Dr. Dorsey is a trailblazer for diversity in the multisport community. She has already impacted the lives of hundreds of urban youth through triathlon and we at USA Triathlon look forward to witnessing the impact of this new program.”
Rocky Harris, CEO, USA Triathlon (Colorado)
“It sounds like an amazing idea! It will be great exposure for urban youth, and I'm sure they would love being a part of the experience. Just be sure that parents find it affordable for their child(ren) to participate, especially if many cities are included in the tour. If I was the parent, I would think... oh, what a nice opportunity, but how much does it cost?
...if it's affordable, I would jump right on it as the parent.”
Marshall Dennis Turner – Aspring TRI Mom (Alabama)
“That is a wonderful idea! Definitely a bigger impact. Kalamazoo would be a good location in Michigan.”
Nicole Poullina-Willoughby – RWB TRI Mom (Michigan)
I love the idea, it will definitely give an opportunity for our athletes, future athletes, and parents to see what the collegiate level is all about. There will be nothing better than a college tour!! Great job Coach!!
Marlon Turner – IABT Volunteer Swim Coach (Michigan)
Hola Dr. Dorsey!!! I think that's a great idea. I also think that would be able to open the minds of people who are not able to see beyond the Maryland or Baltimore region.
Joy Farley – IABT Junior Multisport Club TRI Parent (Maryland)
